I've known people who are asexual but still capable of romance. Didn't seem very unusual to me in 2016, but maybe in Inath it'll be a little more unconventional and odd. But then again, they're an engineer from another world and a magical mad scientist, so maybe everyone else will just put it up to their usual shenanicanery.

You have to remember that they have just been in something equivalent to a war, stress does things to people... Some people retreat into rationality, since it has never hurt them.

And many many others retreat into sex/intimacy. So many indeed that in the past armies hired prostitutes for the soldiers.

I completely agree, I am curious if towards the end of this we will see over population or at least something similar to the "mana firestorm" / "miasma" caused by a city with the population in the low millions where each and every one is selling/buying magic.

With the required precision complains by the workers... they need to make pre-made holes & stoppers so that everything WILL be placed right where it needs to be.
