Really good, I'm also glad they were pretty rational about it and didn't go all prisoner dilemma on each other as soon as they realized their consciousness had 50% chance of dying

So doing that thing with hyperspace that exploded the ship summons the reshapers? Or creates the reshapers?

That reality explosion is what the reshapers want to fight, if I parsed the gorilla centipede shaman right.

My guess it that there's no causal relationship. The reshapers were always on their way; the Empiricist went out and found them first.
