Anyone get the blind children bit? I got the Devil Went Down To Georgia reference, of course, and for the plant-based stuff I suspect it's a horrible pun on Seitan, but I don't get the blind children bit.

Giving up freedom to defend freedom is politics favorite pastimes, the author already took a stab at the iraq war and comparison to the tsa and whatever you want to call the growing surveillance state actions are not likely that far behind

Amusing; even with the hint at the start, I suspected a representative of San Francisco was speaking until the paragraph mentioning 'sacrifices' when all became clear.

I was suspecting San Fransisco until I read the "poor huddled masses" bit. Realizing it was Thamiel (or at least one of his representatives) in the middle of that paragraph made me literally laugh out loud.
