That was an especially good chapter. Sister Krone was humanized really well here. All in all, I think I sympathize with her more than any other character. She's a truly tragic figure.

The girl we see in the grandma flashback is Isabella? The first 2 numbers are the same and even the hairstyle.
Isabella was plannin gto escape but still became mama.
What are the implications?

Well, it's almost certain that the heroine will eventually be offered this choice - to sell out and become a Mama or die.
There's a certain poetic logic in the idea that carrying out a successful escape is the final test - a measure of intelligence which justifies keeping someone alive long enough to breed the next generation of intelligent (tasty) children. And perhaps using them as a mama in the meantime. Given the Machiavellian behavior of both Mamas we can probably assume Mamas are selected to be the smartest and ruthless of their cohort, and had to sell out others to live.
This would also explain the lack of alarm among adults when they find out the children are plotting escape. That a certain percentage of children will catch on might simply be part of the system, and Isabella's talents ensure that her farm produces the most children who figure it out.

Just a hunch, but what if "Mama" isn't metaphorical? The children may be based on the various Mamas ovaries or DNA.

On the last thread, I got a few reports of bad ads/malware/etc. on this site. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do? Use a different site? (What site?) Put something in the title? (Warning: Potential Malware?)

The site has terrible ads on mobile that redirect you without even clicking on them if you're using Chrome on Android. The solution is to not use the site or not use Chrome. I haven't noticed any problems on Firefox on Android.
